“Breathe”

On Saturday, 3rd June, we were all invited to join a celebration of Pentecost called 'breathe' in Ss Alban and Stephen Church Parish Hall.

The evening started with Praise and Worship led by Eamonn Pugh, Emily Davis, Charlotte Stevens, Thomas Pugh, James Goddard and Alex Stevens.

We then listened for half an hour  to a very gifted speaker, David Wells, from the Catholic Diocese of Plymouth.

After David's talk, there was more music, time for further prayer as we openly welcomed the Holy Spirit.

Refreshments were available of course.

Some pictures from the evening are included below.

Almost 100 people were there!

What is "breathe"?

It's a chance to come and meet with God in a new and fresh way, for some people maybe even for the first time. It doesn't matter who you are, where you have come from or what your religious persuasion is, come just as you are to Worship. We know the Holy Spirit is going to be with us for each and every breathe, as he is with us all the time. So hopefully we will be really blessed when we meet and sing Our Heavenly Fathers' praises, God will pour out his gifts for those that ask for it, He will heal the hearts of the broken and bring peace to each person's heart.  Click here for more or phone Emily on 01727 864050.

One of Dave's messages was "When the Holy Spirit is here, life gets animated !"
