12 to 14 July 2002:   Men's Weekend at Woldingham School - A SUMMER BREAK WITH A CHALLENGE

About 150 men including 6 from our parish went to Woldingham School near Caterham, Surrey for a men-only weekend on 12-14 July.  Why men only?  Men benefit from occasional fellowship amongst themselves and from pertinent reminders of their role as Christian husbands, fathers and priests.  No doubt women need similar ministrations but that's another story..

The main conference speakers were John Noble, a leading pastor in the new churches movement, and Fr Ernest Sievers, a German priest active in spiritual renewal and community in Uganda and they provided the main teaching for the weekend.

It was a packed weekend with excellent liturgy and worship, inspiring testimonies and sharings and wonderful weather, surroundings, food, bar and sporting opportunities.

One of the key features of the weekend was the meeting within small locality-based groups that will continue to meet until the next weekend in July 2003.

Maybe we'll see you there?
