Marshalswick Mass Centre
Starting on Sunday, 26th July through to the end of August, Mass at Marshalswick will be celebrated at the Baptist Free Church in Sherwood Avenue while St John Fisher School undergoes refurbishment work. Mass will begin at the earlier time of 8.30am during this period.
We would like to thank Rev. Graham Clarke and the Baptist Church community for this very kind opportunity. To accommodate their community we will endeavour to be finished and out of the church by 9.30am. Priests will need to have shorter sermons and also the music needs to be curtailed to fit our allotted time-scale.

Parish Mission
Our Parish will be holding a Mission conducted by the Sion Community for two weeks (one of preparation and one of mission) from 10th October to 24th October Mission webpages now available - click here for more >>>

Times of Masses at SS Alban & Stephen Catholic Church in St Albans
Ss Alban & Stephen at the St Albans Market
December 2013

Once again, parishioners generously supported the parish Christmas card stall at St. Albans market this December

For five years running now, we have distributed Christmas cards to people at the market  - and once again, we distributed more cards than in all previous years.   Many thanks to all who helped, but especially to Mary and Eric Harber, who work tirelessly on this project every year - and who are always smiling !!!

Ss Alban & Stephen at the St Albans Market
8th December 2012

Parishioners generously supported the parish Christmas card stall at St. Albans market on Sat. 8th Dec. 2012.

This was we think the fourth year we have distributed Christmas cards to people at the market and by far the largest distribution we have made. There were very large numbers of shoppers at the market and all our volunteers were needed to cover the distribution. For once the weather was fine. As we had such a good turn out from the parish it gave all of us the opportunity to stop to chat with people who wanted to know more or tell us about their experiences of Christmas, some good and some unhappy.

Brendan Day brought the choir along to lead us in some lovely carol singing. The reception we received from stall holders and shoppers was good though most of us noticed more indifference to the Christmas message this year than in earlier years so we need to continue to be vigilant and to remind our community of the essence of Christmas

Ss Alban & Stephen at the St Albans Market
9th April 2011

In contrast to our last visit to the market in December 2010, when it snowed (... scroll down for some of those snowy pictures!!!), this time we had glorious weather.

This time, we were right by the French Row entrance to Christopher Place - a great location and "crossroads".

Thanks especially to the Стаха́но6iteye who over-fulfilled their quota, and thanks to everyone who helped with the market stall.  We gave away about 1300 parish Easter cards, which were generally well, or at least, tolerantly, received.

We've posted some pictures below - we hope you enjoy them.

Ss Alban & Stephen at the St Albans  Market
18th December 2010

Despite the snow and freezing temperatures, we managed to distribute 800-1,000 church cards last Saturday.

The help given by those extra parishioners who turned up on the day was much appreciated.

We would like to thank everyone who helped in any way.

Please make a note in your diaries for the next stall on Saturday 16th
April.
