The PPC
PPC Priority Group 3
Mission Group

This is the home page for the Mission Group,
one of the current five Priority Groups within our PPC (Parish Pastoral Council).

What we are   Our mission statement is taken from Mt.28:19-20 Jesus said “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…”  The Mission group organises and encourages activities to:

·    help our parishioners grow in their faith
·    join with other local Christians in spreading the Good News
·    reach out to local people who may not go to church

Affliliations We are closely involved with the:

·    Small Christian Communities
·    Diocesan Adult Faith Formation
·    Proclaim Evangelisation Initiative
·    Churches Together in St Albans (CTSA)
·    Churches Together in Marshalswick (CTM)
·    The City Centre Churches
·    CaFE

Who we are
The mission group currently consists of eight people, who meet monthly to discuss and plan our future talks/activities. Our chair is Richard O’Neill and our PPC representative is Sylvia White. We are actively looking for new members.

Where and When do we meet   The Mission group meets on the first Tuesday of every month (except August) at 7.45pm in the Parish Centre. Anyone who is interested in helping in any way, is welcome in to attend.

Accountability Like all PPC Priority Groups, the Mission Groupis accountable to the PPC, and one of the group members will attend, and report to PPC meetings on a monthly basis.
