The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC)
Minutes of the 11th July 2011 meeting

Positive feedback was received relating
to the enthusiasm on the Parish Assembly Day although event timing may be
brought forward next year to avoid inevitable clashes with other June and
July events.
The election of the Chair and Secretary was postponed to the next meeting
to allow all PPC members to be present, be considered, and to vote.
Fr Charles agreed to represent the Worship and Liturgy Group on the PPC for
the time being. The new translation of the Mass was discussed and whilst
many are concerned, everyone was invited to see it as a chance for growth
and rebuilding of the church.
The PPC took reports from Richard Belt for Communications and Peter Berners-Lee
for Mission on their group's first meetings. The remaining priority groups
were recommended to take the summer off and start afresh in September.
An offer from Jacquie Fowler to administrate up-to-date records of parish
volunteers was welcomed and accepted by the PPC.
Fr Charles reported that he has been appointed to the MSC Provincial Administration
Council so some meetings and travel will be necessary.
The parish hall is now booked to its maximum. At present, no bookings are
being taken for next year pending a review by Fr Charles.
The next meeting of the PPC will be held on Monday 5th September 2011, thereafter
it is intended that PPC meetings will be held on the second Monday of each
month.
