The next 'Renew' Charismatic Mass will be held at 3pm
on Sunday 5 October 2008 at Maryland Convent.
Our celebrant will be Fr Terry Seasman and worship
will be led by Eliz Cooke. Prayer ministry will be available after mass with
our prayer team at the back of the hall.
This will be our last mass in this current series so please
email us at renew@albanstephen.com if you are coming so we can get our numbers right.
Following mass, the Convent Sisters
of Mercy have again agreed to our the use of the hall for teas, coffees and
a cold family meal. Attendees may wish to bring something cold to eat or share.
We will finish after food
by 6pm.
Two lovely masses
have been held so far in June and July. Many people have attended to exercise
a charismatic element of their faith within the celebration of the holy eucharist.
Attendees are politely asked not forget their obligations to their usual
masses. We would not want to leave any parish without any of its ministries
due to their attendance.
Ss Alban and Stephen parish weekly donation envelopes will be gathered
during the collection and passed to the presbytery as usual.
The small church hall can only take 200 people so we would ask that
you email us at renew@albanstephen.com if you
wish to attend giving details of numbers in your family. Should you wish to
volunteer to assist please make offers through the same email account.
Parish Priest Fr Charles
Sweeney asks local parishioners to continue to consider their own individual
calling during these masses. In particular, there are vacancies for catechists
in our parish first communion, baptism and confirmation programmes. If
you have a child passing through any of the programmes; have a gift of
teaching; or simply a heart for this vital work then the parish would like
to hear from you. You will be provided with training and support. Volunteers
should contact the presbytery.
