Prayer for the TorturedSaturday 29th June 2013 is the UK Day of Prayer to support victims of torture, and ACAT (Action by Christians Against Torture) is a UK action group with growing support in our parish On Wednesday, 26th June, Sr. Catherine O’Carroll is holding a prayer service this at 8 p.m. in the chapel at Maryland to which everyone is welcome. Prayer for the Tortured O Lord, open my eyes that I may see the needs of others; Open my ears that I may hear their cries; Open my heart so that they need not be without help. Show me where love and hope and faith are needed And use me to bring them to all who suffer the inhumanity of human-kind. |
