Priests.
All our priests are Missionaries of the Sacred Heart.
Fr Tom Hewitt MSC joined our parish from Tamworth in 2006. Fr Jerry
Daly MSC is here for the second time (originally 1971 - 1978) - he returned
here in 1997. Fr Charles Sweeney MSC, our Parish Priest joined us
in 2006, moving from Ireland. Fr Sandy Murray MSC is also resident here.

Parish Assembly The Assembly (currently) comprises six groups,
each addressing an area identified as a possible priority:

for the Vulnerable

our Young people

Outreach
Each group within the Parish Assembly will meet during the year
to draw up and implement plans to improve the pastoral life of the parish

Schools There are four schools locally for the under 11s.
Ss Alban & Stephen Infants, Ss Alban & Stephen Juniors, and
for those living in Marshalswick, St John Fisher (JMI) School. St
Adrian's JMI (in St Bart's parish) is on the south of St Albans. There are two Catholic secondary
schools - Loreto College (girls) and Nicholas Breakspear (mixed). Additionally,
St Columba's College & Prep School are also in the parish More >>>> Small Groups There are over 30 Small Groups in the parish,
which generally meet regularly from once a week to once a month, for
an hour or two in members’ houses. Group size varies between about 6 and
12 members. There is no fixed format for meetings,
but most will include a combination of prayer, listening to the Word of
God, sharing our beliefs, reflecting on how we can respond, and socialising.

Mass Times During the week, Mass is celebrated daily in the
Church and also at Maryland Convent. On Fridays, there is also a
Mass celebrated at St Albans Abbey. On Saturday evenings, there is a vigil
Mass at Maryland convent and also at the Church. On Sundays, Mass
is celebrated in the Church, and at the Marshalswick Mass Centre (at St
John Fisher School). Once a month, Mass is also celebrated
