Welcome to our Church, to our Parish, to St Albans and to our website
Are you new to the Parish?   With six Masses most weekends at three locations, seven schools in the parish, thriving groups for kids, the youth and young adults, there's plenty to do!  

Please feel free to introduce yourself to one of our priests after Mass or just call in at the presbytery, or pick up a parishioner registration card from the Church or one of the Mass Centres.   You can also pick up a new parishioner registration card from the back of the Church, or simply download one here, fill it in, and hand it in at the presbytery
...or are you just browsing?   Whether you're a parishioner or from far away you're very welcome - we hope you enjoy your visit here, to the city which is the birthplace of Britain's first martyr, St Alban, we invite you to come in and look around our website.

Fr TJ (Tom) Plower MSC is our Parish Priest and joined us in 2015, having moving here from Ireland.  Fr Tom Hewitt MSC (re)joined our parish from Tamworth in 2006 (Fr Tom had worked here in the 90s), and Fr Jimmy Stubbs joined us in 2012. There are three schools locally for the under 11s:  
Ss Alban & Stephen Infants,  Ss Alban & Stephen Juniors & St John Fisher (JMI) School.  There are three Catholic secondary schools in the area:  Loreto College (girls)Nicholas Breakspear (mixed) and St Columba's (boys)       Click here for our Schools page >>>

Young Adults (18 - 30s.... ish!)
If you're between 18 and 30 then there's a vibrant and lively social scene for you too, often meeting in the Robin Hood after Sunday Evening Mass  click here for the 18 to 30s webpage

Mass Times
On Sundays (including the Saturday vigil), Mass is celebrated at two location:  in the Church, and at the Marshalswick Mass Centre (at St John Fisher School).
 During the week, Mass is celebrated twice daily in the Church.  On Fridays, there is also a Mass celebrated at St Albans Abbey.  Click here for Mass Times >>

Once a month, Mass is also celebrated in in Italian, and twice a month in Polish

Small Groups
There are over 30 Small Groups in the parish, which  generally meet regularly from once a week to once a month, for an hour or two in members’ houses. Group size varies between about 6 and 12 members.  
There is no fixed format for meetings, but most will include a combination of prayer, listening to the Word of God, sharing our beliefs, reflecting on how we can respond, and socialising.   More >>>>
